What to Expect

During our time together, I will help to safely guide you through the technical foundations including breath support, ear training, rhythm, intonation and diction. Lessons with me will also feature a mixture of functional vocal exercises, body awareness, solfege, finding repertoire together, song interpretation and audition and performance preparation. The first half of the lesson we'll do a quick check-in on how you're feeling, followed by some stretches and custom exercises that encourage a balanced, healthy, and expressive sound throughout your vocal range. And the second half we apply it to the songs that YOU want to sing!

For my younger students - I believe that a child's voice lesson should be fun! I keep them entertained by engaging them in a playful way by using simple songs, small instruments, games, and choose exercises to aid in developing a musically tuned ear. I will suggest age-appropriate repertoire from pop music, folk songs, Broadway and more!
